Pearl Woodring
Pearl Woodring has a proven track record of transforming the average to extraordinary. From Bloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman, and now to the Scottsdale Business Community Project, she has used her diverse skill set to develop, launch and implement the effective programs and strategies that make organizations thrive.
Woodring is a native New Yorker who moved to Scottsdale in 2007 where she started Sparrow Retail Consultants and Sparrow Kids Consulting, both companies specialize in retail growth, trend analysis and product development. She also spearheaded the launch of the Scottsdale Business Community Project, a collaborative organization comprising business and marketing experts who celebrate local businesses and help them grow by shining a spotlight on their organization. This is accomplished through community-focused events that pull together like-minded business owners and allow them to pool their respective talents and services to engage, educate or entertain a broader audience in a non-competitive framework..
Starting her career at retail giant Bergdorf Goodman, Woodring went on to become a buyer for Bloomingdales, where she held the positions of buyer, financial planner and department manager. In her 13-year tenure she not only managed sales volumes of $50M+ annually, but also developed and launched new and existing businesses within a broad product spectrum, including Men’s, Cosmetics, Kid’s, Bridge, and Contemporary clothing. Nurturing close relationships with her stores and vendors allowed Woodring to consistently exceed her sales objectives by creating and implementing merchandising, marketing and risk management strategies to support identified trends.
When not working on her businesses, or growing others, Woodring works on a special interest book she is writing, is a founding member and COO of Platform Scottsdale and, most importantly, is a proud mother of two.
